Top 5 Cyberpunk 2077 Mods

2023-10-16 by Callum Andrews

Even though the title says Top 5 mods for this iteration it won't really be that. Since the top 5 mods for Cyberpunk 2077 over on nexusmods.com are mainly focused on developing the mods. What we want to do here though, is to provide you with a list of mods that will enhance your game experience. Mods that you will be able to use in-game in one form or another. So without further ado here are what we consider to be the "Top 5" mods for Cyberpunk 2077.

Appearance Menu Mod

If you were to judge this mod only on its name then you would think that it'd had something to do with your character's appearance or NPC appearance. But in reality, it is much more than that. According to the mod description, you are able to do the following: change and save NPC outfits, spawn NPC companions, vehicles, select appearances for all player vehicles, and have the ability to make your companions hostile. You can also spawn props and decorate your apartment however you like. The mod also has a photo mode in which you can move NPCs around, freeze them in place, change the time of day, or even teleport yourself to a curated list of locations. This mod seems definitely like something you would use after making it through Cyberpunk at least once before as it seems to alter quite a lot from the vanilla experience.

Virtual Atelier

This mod basically adds a virtual shop to your game in which you don't really buy anything but rather lets you preview how various garments will look on your character. To me, it seems rather strange that a mod was needed for this as I would have thought that a feature like this would already be present in the main game. Or maybe I just didn't understand what the mod really did.

Virtual Atelier

Better Vehicle Handling

This one does exactly what the name says. It improves vehicle handling in the game. So many people think that it improves the vehicle handling from the base games that it deserves a place in our top five list.

Better Vehicle Handling

Immersive First Person

I think this is the coolest mod on this list. It enables you to move your head around without the need to move your body. Meaning that you can look down and see what your body looks like in first-person view. You can also turn your head around and observe your surroundings without necessarily needing to shift your body towards the direction you are looking at. I don't understand why this wasn't something that was in the base games or why more games that have a first-person perspective allow players to look around in this manner.

Immersive First Person

Underwear Remover

Another one that does exactly what it says. It removes the underwear from the play character letting them run around naked in Night City if they so wished. Whether police will decide to chase you in case they see you running around naked remains to be seen. But considering that the game is set in the not-too-distant future maybe it's something that isn't as frowned upon as it might be today.
